Thank you for your interest in Ben Franklin Academy (BFA)! Tours are specific to kindergarten – eighth grade. For information about BFAs preschool, please contact Lori Hafner, BFAs Preschool Director.
Sign Up Soon! BFA offers 24 opportunities to tour the school between September 10, 2024 – April 15. (Tour dates, January-April, will be released about a month in advance.) Individual tour requests are not accommodated. Parents/Guardian who are unable to attend a tour for any reason can listen to what current and former students, teachers, parents, our Principal, and our Board president have to say about BFA by clicking the BFA Virtual Tour tab on this page.
Each tour is limited to 20 people (adults and children). Each person who will attend the tour must have a separate “ticket.”
- Please limit the number of people from your family who attend the tour to four.
- Manage your sign-up: After signing up, if you or someone in your group cannot attend, please make room for other families. Email Colleen Bobbin, BFAs Director of Admissions and Records/Registrar, to modify your family’s sign up.
- Participants who cancel less than 24-hours before the scheduled tour or do not show may not sign up for another tour date.

Tour Details:
- If spaces are not available in the main parking lot, you’ll find plenty in “upper” lot.
- Please do NOT park in any reserved spaces or the small lot with basketball hoops.
- Enter the main doors of the school (by the flagpole). The office is immediately to your right.
- Check in with our front office staff no later than 8:50 a.m..
- Bring a driver’s license. All adult participants will be scanned into our visitor system. Any adult without a license will not be permitted on the tour.
- Kindly leave strollers at home to help us stay on track. The tour moves from floor to floor via stairs.
- Tours generally last 45-60 minutes.
DCSD Snow Day or Delayed Start – If the Douglas County School District (DCSD) has a snow day or a delayed start, the tour is cancelled. Closure/delayed start information is available from DCSDs website, local media outlet websites, and local newscasts. Participants may not receive a cancellation email. If any of these sources indicate that DCSD has a snow day or delayed start, there will be no tour.
