BFA will be closed tomorrow, November 7.
Message from DCSD: “Trying to predict the weather (even with help from experts) isn’t always easy. And today we heard from many of our staff and families that a delay was not enough. We had hoped that a delay would provide time for roads to be cleared – however the snow accumulation and subsequent road conditions were worse than anticipated.
The forecast shows that the snow is going to continue into tomorrow. This means, we are expecting icy road conditions tomorrow morning, and with the snow expected to continue throughout the day, we don’t believe another delay will be sufficient. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, the Douglas County School District will be CLOSED on Thursday, November 7. “
Since we follow DCSD, BFA will be closed.
As always, in the event of a closure, all DCSD buildings are closed, including BFA.
- Preschool, elementary, and middle school classes are cancelled
- BASE programs are closed
- All activities, events, and sports are cancelled
DCSD snow team will continue to monitor the storm. We will provide any updates on our website and social media. As always, thank you for your patience with us as we navigate the often unpredictable Colorado weather.
