As Principal Simpson mentioned in her last newsletter, there are immeasurable benefits when parents get involved at school. Not only does it show your children your commitment to their education and school, it builds and strengthens our community. We hope you’ll consider getting more involved within the BFA Community this year, or simply volunteer to help with daily activities, school events and special projects.
There is truly something for everyone! And, while we know our parents have very busy schedules, we promise that we can find an opportunity for you! As Mrs. Simpson stated, “There are many volunteer opportunities available in the building, at committee events, and even projects you can do at home. If you’re having trouble finding a volunteer opportunity that’s a good fit for you, please let our Volunteer Coordinator, Michelle Bynum, or me know and we’ll be happy to help you find options that work with your passions, talents and schedule.”
Also, don’t forget that there will be THREE open slots on the BFA Board of Directors next school year. Both our Board and their committees, the CEC, PTO, SAC, and STEM, fill key positions in the spring for next school year. Start attending and/or listening to Board and committee meetings now to learn more about each organization and see where your skills may be a fit.
Let’s work together to make BFA the best it can be in 2023!
