Job Title: Instructional Music Teacher

Job Description: 

This is a full-time teaching position.  The ideal candidate must have a strong music background and fully support the mission of Ben Franklin Academy.

Responsibilities: 

The successful candidate will implement the Core Knowledge Sequence relating to music and increase music appreciation for all students.  The teacher is expected to maintain daily lesson plans, keep accurate records for each student and follow the policies and procedures of the school.

School Description: 

Ben Franklin Academy (BFA), a Core Knowledge School, is a public charter school located in Highlands Ranch.  We will serve close to 700 students in grades K-7 and will expand to grade 8 for the 2013-2014 school year.  Our mission is to develop young adults with character like America’s founding Renaissance man, Benjamin Franklin: well-read, scientifically curious, and civically engaged. 

Requirements: 

Must have a Colorado Teaching License with a music endorsement or be highly qualified as defined by NCLB.
